Celebrating NAACP Legacy While Advocating for Systemic Change
On NAACP's Founders Day, the National Black Caucus (NBC) commemorates the historic accomplishments of the NAACP in advocating for civil rights and social justice for Black communities in the United States. We recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts of past and present NAACP leaders who have paved the way for progress.
However, we also recognize that the NAACP's current political approach does not align with the needs of our communities, particularly regarding economic and environmental justice. We are concerned about the NAACP's focus on partisan voter mobilization, particularly when many Democratic-run districts, where Black communities reside, continue to face environmental racism and the lack of significant economic equity.
NBC Co-Chair Philena Farley questions the NAACP's motives by stating, "While they rightly call for voting rights protections, their pushback against potential reforms like ranked-choice voting is very hypocritical. Historically, ranked-choice voting has increased minority participation and voter turnout."
Law professor Steven John Mulroy, in a 2021 RealClear Politics article, explains how ranked-choice voting positively impacts minority candidates. Mulroy states, "We saw such skepticism in the run-up to the recent New York City Democratic primary election for city offices (which, in deep blue New York, is a decisive election round). Black candidate Eric Adams, the eventual mayoral primary winner, made the “depressed turnout” argument . City Council incumbents from the black, Latino and Asian Caucus unsuccessfully sued to block RCV’s implementation and tried to legislate a delay . Both the New York NAACP (before the election) and the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (after the election) expressed opposition."
NBC Co-Chair Darryl! Moch highlights the environmental disparities faced by Black communities. In his words, "Black communities bear the brunt of pollution and climate change, yet the NAACP's 'Get Out to Vote' campaign for the Democrats, often aligned with fossil fuels, raises questions about their commitment to environmental justice."
The late Bruce Dixon, co-founder of the Black Agenda Report and previous co-chair of the Georgia Green Party, criticized the national leadership of the NAACP in 2009, pointing out the contrast between local chapters and corporate control. Dixon stated, "With the Freedom Movement over and the struggle against Jim Crow past, the NAACP's national leadership lost its way in the eighties and nineties... and by the dawn of the twenty-first century, corporate America was very much in charge at the national NAACP in the persons of black corporate execs." Dixon passed away on June 28, 2019, surrounded by his family in Atlanta, Georgia.
The case of Colia Clark exemplifies the disconnect between the NAACP's stated values and their political strategies. Despite her long history of activism, including work as a field secretary alongside renowned figures like Medgar Evers, Clark's candidacies for the Green Party were not endorsed by the organization. Clark, who ran for the United States Senate in New York in 2010 and 2012, passed away on November 4, 2022, in New York.
The NBC challenges the NAACP to transcend corporate-controlled party politics and embrace a broader vision of progress. We firmly believe that true representation requires supporting Black candidates who align with principles of environmental and social justice, free from corruption imposed by a select few. Together, we can build a more inclusive movement for change, empowering Black communities to lead the way towards a more just and sustainable future.

National Black Caucus of the Green Party Opposes UN Resolution to Invade Haiti
The resolution, which was adopted on October 2nd, 2023 authorizes the deployment of a multinational security force to Haiti to help address the country's security crisis. The resolution was passed with the support of 13 of the 15 members of the Security Council, including the United States.
The NBC strongly opposes this resolution, which we believe is a violation of Haiti's sovereignty and a recipe for disaster. Haiti has a long history of foreign intervention, which has often only served to make the country's problems worse. “We believe that the UN resolution is simply the latest attempt by the United States and other foreign powers to impose their will on the Haitian people.” states NBC co-chair, Darryl! Moch.
A recent Black Agenda Report's article argues that deploying the Kenyan police would be a form of neocolonialism, as it would be imposing foreign forces on Haiti without the consent of the Haitian people. These concerns about the deployment of the Kenyan police to Haiti are also shared by NBC co-chair, Philena Farley, “US foreign policy process is like, ‘let’s sanction the hell out of a country, cause turmoil and then cry foul to the UN! Classic move.”
Sanctions are a form of collective punishment that disproportionately harms the poorest and most vulnerable Haitians. The Green Party's stance on sanctions against Haiti is consistent with its broader opposition to war and violence. Sanctions are a form of war. They are directed against the people from countries that will not follow the dictates of the US. The goal is to make the lives of the people in these countries intolerable so they will oppose their governments and support the US regime-change agendas in their countries.
The NBC stands in solidarity with the Haitian people and we will continue to fight for their right to self-determination.

Navigating Quiet Quitting
August 23, 2023
In an era where discussions about "quiet quitting" are gaining momentum, it's crucial to unpack the complex layers beneath this phenomenon. This throwback post, though written in a different context, provides a valuable perspective that resonates beyond the workplace. As we delve into these thoughts, it's evident that the dynamics outlined here often extend into various spheres, including grassroots movements like the Green Party and other progressive circles.
The concept of "quiet quitting" raises concerns about the subtle ways in which inequities and disparities manifest, particularly for Black and Global Majority individuals. The observation that certain individuals can do the bare minimum and reap rewards while others must go above and beyond merely to be seen reflects a broader societal pattern.
This resonates with experiences shared by many individuals within the Green Party and other progressive movements. Despite their dedication and efforts to build and strengthen these movements, there can often be a disconnect between contribution and recognition. Just as in workplaces described in the post, it's not uncommon for those who put in extra work to remain unseen or even face challenges in receiving acknowledgment.
The intersection of race, power dynamics, and the inherent scrutiny faced by Black individuals adds another layer to this conversation. The perception of not being part of the mainstream, the undercurrents of racism, and the sometimes subtle biases can lead to unequal treatment. This scenario parallels the struggles faced by those working tirelessly within progressive organizations, striving for a more just society, yet encountering systemic hurdles.
The call to question whether there's something wrong with doing one's job conscientiously resonates beyond workplaces. It becomes a broader query about the societal norms and expectations placed on individuals, particularly those from historically marginalized backgrounds. The reflections on overwork in certain countries versus others highlight the cultural variations that shape these dynamics. Yet, the underlying theme remains consistent – the importance of recognizing and valuing contributions, regardless of cultural context.
The article's observations on representation are equally applicable to the realms of politics and activism. The impact of underrepresentation, combined with the challenges Black individuals face, mirrors the struggle for visibility within movements aimed at progressive change.
As we reflect on these thoughts, we must consider the lessons they offer to our own spaces of activism and advocacy. By acknowledging the presence of "quiet quitting" and working collectively to ensure that dedication and contributions are acknowledged, valued, and rewarded, we can move towards building movements that truly embody the principles of justice, equality, and empowerment.
Additionally, as we approach August 23, 2023, the Remembrance of Slave Trade & Abolition Day, it's essential to recognize the historical and ongoing struggles that shape the experiences of Black individuals. This day serves as a solemn reminder of the atrocities of the transatlantic slave trade and the importance of acknowledging the resilience and strength of those who fought for freedom and justice. As we navigate the challenges of the present, let us also honor the past and work towards a more equitable future for all.

Africans and Ukraine observed on Juneteenth
Today, as we celebrate Juneteenth, it's important to recognize the ongoing struggles for freedom and justice faced by Black people in America and around the world. Recent news of Putin's meeting with African leaders for peace talks highlights the interconnectedness of global issues and the need for solidarity in the fight for peace and justice.
The Green Party of the United States demands the immediate implementation of the peace deal signed between Russia and Ukraine in spring 2022 called “The Agreement on Permanent Neutrality and Safety Guarantees to Ukraine”
The Russian president held up a piece of paper during a meeting with several African leaders, June 17th, 2023, saying it was a document agreed by the Kyiv negotiation team. © 2023 Associated Newspapers Limited
In February 2022, Rita Jacobs, member of the Green Party’s Peace Action Committee (GPAX) stated, “A serious solution that prioritizes the lives of Ukrainian civilians will require an immediate ceasefire, withdrawal of Russian troops, a promise of no US troops or arms in Ukraine, and a commitment to diplomacy.”
The 2022 peace deal, which was negotiated in good faith by both parties, provides a clear path to peace. The Green Party strongly condemns western interference in the peace negotiations and nationally endorsed, on October 10th, 2022, the official position regarding the war in Ukraine and issued multiple press releases and statements calling for a ceasefire and a diplomatic solution to the conflict. The party also called for the lifting of sanctions against Russia and Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a meeting with a delegation of African leaders and senior officials in St. Petersburg, Russia, Saturday.AP
For countries in the Global South, the war in Ukraine has made problems that have been simmering and growing over time—such as inequality between rich and poor nations and dwindling access to resources by poorer countries—all too apparent, “Let’s not fool ourselves, this is also about control of resources and riches among world powers,” said Margaret Elisabeth, Green Party US National Co-Chair. Beijing also released a proposed peace plan in February 2023 but Ukraine and its Western allies largely dismissed the proposal.
As we celebrate Juneteenth and reflect on our current conditions of modern-day slavery and racism, it's important to remember that Black people in the Global South have also faced centuries of colonialism, exploitation, and violence. The war in Ukraine has highlighted existing problems and exposed deep global divides that had been simmering for centuries.
The Green Party of the United States has long been a vocal opponent of the military industrial complex and its impact on our economy and society. The war in Ukraine, like so many other conflicts, has been fueled by the profits of weapons manufacturers and defense contractors. The result is a bloated military budget that drains resources from social programs and exacerbates economic inequality. Black Americans are disproportionately impacted by these policies.
We urge all marginalized and oppressed people who believe in peace to contact their elected officials and demand that they support the implementation of the peace deal in Ukraine.

WASHINGTON D.C.: As of late August, it has come to the attention of the nation that yet another city with a majority population of Black people has a corrupted and decaying water system. These conditions are hazardous and to put it mildly, a drastic disruption to the lives of the residents of Jackson, Mississippi. “This is just another example of the ongoing environmental atrocities that have plagued communities of Black and Brown people across this country. The people of Jackson, Mississippi deserve better.” says, Ani Mozelle Baraka Dela Croix - Alabama Green Party Co-Chair, “It is inhumane and cruel to stand idly by as the residents of the capital city of Mississippi go without an adequate water source. It is imperative that we do not forget the people of Jackson; that we do not forget the people of Baltimore; that we remember Flint, Michigan residents are all still without a clean and safe water supply.”
This crisis is urgent but the overall issue is not new. The City of Jackson has been under a state of emergency since January of 2019 because of the dangerously high levels of chlorine and coliform bacteria found in their tap water. The water quality issues have reportedly been a reality for decades due to the neglect and irresponsibility of hired contractors by the local government and discriminatory lawmakers without real accountability and pursuit of permanent solutions.
Environmental and agricultural justice issues disproportionately impacting and affecting Black communities across the nation is important to the Green Party of the United States, which is why political action and activism are being pursued for the sake of helping the most affected and impacted citizens of the city.
Environmental and agricultural justice issues like this are ongoing and shall always need continued imports of resources and action towards stopping allowance of the public water systems that Americans depend on for various purposes to fail catastrophically for justification of privatizing utilities which corporations like Nestle and Siemens, can profit from. Aiden Hill - NBC Delegate/Berkeley City Council D7 Candidate added, “UC Berkeley’s sole water supplier/contractor is Nestle. They literally use public dollars to invest in corporations.” Corporate greed and injustice go hand in hand when it comes to the core reasons issues grow and expand which is why the Green Party of the United States runs and supports candidates for elected office that are about advocating and proactively fighting for the people. A vote for Greens is one for systemic change.
The Alabama Green Party and Mobile Bay Green Party in collaboration with District 41 Florida State Representative Candidate and National Black Caucus Parliamentarian Robin Harris as well as the National Black Caucus Co-Chair Darryl Moch, have reached out to grassroots leadership on the ground in Jackson to assist in the immediate needs of the community. The National Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States supports all mutual aid and other humanitarian resources that are being sent to this city. It is also promoted and encouraged that citizens from surrounding communities and areas across this nation join and help fund the efforts of local organizations and activists on the ground. Contact all members of local, state, and federal government to justly demand that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) along with other federal agencies act and help all gravely affected by this crisis. Change can only result from those who choose to move when actions are called for, especially when most needed.
State of Affairs in Jackson, MS:
- The City of Jackson has not yet made a clear statement about their plan for addressing the immediate crisis. In spite of critical staffing shortages threatening the basic operation of the O.B. Curtis Water Treatment Plant, EPA leadership warned that the City of Jackson has put no visible effort into hiring new employees.
- There are no current public resources for residents to access clean water, which is in direct violation of human rights and dignity. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has a webpage about the Jackson water crisis with daily incident command briefings.
- This crisis is a direct result of environmental racism, which has historically led to disenfranchisement and oppression in the Black community.
- The Mississippi Rapid Response Coalition (The Coalition), led by the People’s Advocacy Institute, the Mississippi Poor People’s Campaign, Immigrant Alliance for Justice and Equity, One Voice, MS, Alternate ROOTS, Mississippi Moves, Operation Good, Strong Arms of Mississippi and over thirty partner organizations, are working diligently to meet the clean water needs of the communities directly impacted by the deteriorating infrastructure in Jackson, Mississippi. The Coalition has a goal of raising a minimum of $2 million dollars to provide clean water to residents.
- The Moses West Foundation is a Black American non-profit organization raising funds to send technological tools and resources that will uniquely give a permanent solution for the citizens of Jackson to utilize as an alternative quality water supply.

Statement - Buffalo NY Mass Shooting
National Black Caucus on the Mass Murders in Buffalo, NY, May 19, 2022
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, ten Black people were murdered in cold blood by a White child in Buffalo, NY as they were just going about their daily business in a local supermarket.
The victims were: Celestine Chaney, Roberta Drury, Andre Mackneil, Katherine Massey, Margus Morrison, Heyward Patterson, Aaron Salter, Geraldine Talley, Ruth Whitfield, and Pearl Young.
Their murderer published a manifesto in which he stated that “Why did you target those people? They are an obvious, visible, and large group of replacers. From a culture with higher fertility rates and strong, robust traditions that seek to occupy my peoples lands and ethnically replace my own people. It would have eased me if I knew all the blacks I would be killing were criminals or future criminals, but then I realized all black people are replacers just by existing in White countries.” He also stated that he carried out the attack “To incite violence, retaliation and further divide between the European people and the replacers currently occupying European soil.” Early in his manifesto, he explained that he formed most of his beliefs doing research on sites like 4 chan in the early days of the Covid Pandemic.
As we come upon the second anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, we see that within the past few months, Patrick Lyoya was murdered by being shot in the head by a white police officer, Daunte Wright’s police murderer was given two years in prison, and Derryl M. Jenkins received compensation after being brutally beaten by police officers in a Minnesota suburb 12 years ago.
We are in a moment where some of the worst atrocities of our nation's history against Black people have been called to the fore. The United Nations has issued “scathing reports”, and has taken some actions highlighted in the UN Decade for people of African descent. An InternationalTribunal found the US guilty of Genocide and Gross Human abuses against Black, Brown and Indigenous Peoples. More information has been dragged out of the shadows for us all to see and experience together (i.e. the Slocum, TX massacre, mass lynchings, and Black Wall Street). The pain and trauma is real; it’s unjust and it's searing. The tears and rage are understandable, and it is shameful to see American Society continue to shake their heads and blame it all on guns as opposed to addressing the underlying and deeply embedded societal issues that lead to these kinds of atrocities against Black people in America. Some continue to resist Reparations for those harmed by slavery, Jim Crow and discrimination. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that atrocities against black people in America are still ongoing and the sum total of harm caused to members of the Black Community cannot be measured. We have to start somewhere.
Violence against Black People in the US comes in many forms, up to and including the silencing of our voices in political affairs and on other platforms from which we can begin to enact the true structural social changes that are needed. We cannot allow white supremacy to re-interpret our history and paint the narrative of who we are as people. We also cannot allow for people to use atrocities like this to say “see? This is why you need us to speak for you” and give speeches on how hate must be eradicated from society while their prodigy is online having their minds being poisoned by those who cater to a sense of powerlessness and bloodlust in young minds.
The National Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States calls for concrete systematic cultural education and changes to be made immediately. This begins with creating space for Black progressives to take office and for those taking office to educate, inform and inspire others responsibly, with dignity, and without having to navigate the traps of internalized racism laid out by those who say they are allied with our causes towards true equality among citizens in the US.
As our nation grieves the traumatic shock and loss of the innocent and beautiful souls in Buffalo, NY, we continue to take an assessment of the plight of Black People in America. This begins with an honest assessment of the ugly realities that lead to travesties such as this that is not only on paper, but in the hearts of all Americans.
Call to Action of US Brands - Haiti Garment Workers
Image credit: Garment employees are seen working in the sewing section of a clothing plant in Haiti / credit: Marcel Crozet / International Labor Organization
Members of the National Black Caucus Green Party US and endorsed candidates are calling to action the following identified United States based brand named merchandise retailers, to put pressure on those who can make change in increasing the wages for the protesting Haitian workers at the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI):
- Gap;
- Hanes Brand;
- Fruit of the Loom; -American Eagle;
- Levi Strauss; -Old Navy;
- Banana Republic; -Athleta;
- JCPenney; -Van Heusen (Desertcart Haiti).
The Issue:
The current average salary of a garment worker in Haiti is 685 gourdes (approximately $6.50 US dollars) for a twelve hour work day; enough to barely feed one person. The workers at SONAPI are demanding at least $15.oo per day to support their families.
Issue Root Cause:
After the 2010 devastating earthquake, business entities outside of Haitian leadership decided to locate a new garment center, away from the earthquake's epicenter, in the island's north-east district. In this effort, Haitian farmers were disposed of valuable fertile land. More than twelve years later, hundreds of farmers and their families have not been paid for the seizure of their land. In essence, the garment center replaced their livelihoods.
See video made by ActionAid USA, “Building Back Better? The Caracol Industrial Park and post earthquake aid to Haiti”
Who Can Make Change:
- Acting President Ariel Henry;
- Clinton Foundation;
- U.S. Agency for International Development;
- Inter-American Development Bank;
- Sae-A Trading Co. (South Korea).
Evidence of the Issue:
On February 10, 2022, the mostly female workers of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI) who were peacefully demanding better wages and working conditions, were met with deadly brutal forces from the National Police of Haiti. They were only demanding 1,500 Haitian Gourdes which is $14.53 US dollars for a full day of work. At the time of the protest, the salary was 550 Haitian gourdes, which is $5.33 US dollars, for twelve hours a day. That is about .60 cents an hour.
The workers were demanding less than $2.00 dollars an hour increase; and they were met with live ammunition from the (PNH) Haitian National Police under the command of Frantz Elbé to protect the US brand named merchandisers. Many women were brutally attacked by PHN for daring to ask for better working conditions and a livable wage.
Why Should US Citizens Care?
Citizens of the United States play a vital role in supporting Haiti as 80% of all Haitian exports are to the USA. U.S. stores like Walmart, Target and brands like Hanes are selling to the American consumers merchandise made in Haiti while the workers are facing brutal opposition in protest for a livable wage.
It was reported on February 21, 2022 by a cable network news channel, that back in November of 2021, a group of U.S. Congress members asked the heads of 62 American companies that import garments from Haiti, for information on "protections in place for workers employed by their companies and suppliers."
How Can US Citizens Make Change?
On March 11th, 2022, Haitian-Americans in the diaspora held a demonstration in front of a Target store in Brooklyn, NY to bring forth the plight of the workers in SONAPI. We must all remain vigilant.
The National Black Caucus of the Green Party joins the workers at National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI) in solidarity; and condemn the recent acts of aggression against the workers.
Join National Black Caucus members and endorsed candidates in demanding the full respect of workers’ rights by demanding United States brand name retailers put pressure on those who can make change to increase pay for SONAPI workers until a livable wage is negotiated by the garment workers.
We must rally all our resources and allies. Let not the workers of the world remember the silence of their friends.

Vaccines are pharmaceutical products that carry risks. Therefore the National Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States demands a full public hearing on vaccine safety, efficacy and mandatory use of vaccines. Every human being has the right to informed consent when making decisions about their own bodies.
https://www.blackcaucusgreens.org/we_say_no_to_mandates
"Consumer protection is a critical part of any functioning economy and society," said NBC-GP Co-Chair Trahern Crews. "We must ensure that Americans have access to truthful information about the products they purchase and services they use, as well as protection from fraud, deception, and other unfair or abusive practices."
The National Black Caucus supports the diversity of independent scientists and researchers who are critical of a for-profit and liability free vaccine industry. We support scientists who are not involved in regulatory capture and who are working to develop truly safe and efficacious vaccines. We applaud the open source movement, which aims to eliminate patents on vaccines. NBC-GP Co-Chair Darryl! Moch says "We stand in solidarity with the global health freedom movement and call upon the U.S. government to change its patent policies regarding vaccines."
The Green Party of the United States has a platform plank that states it requires that all government agencies, contractors and grantees apply open source standards to lifeforms and to end the patenting of these scientific discoveries.

"We've seen the pharmaceutical industry abuse patents and use them to control our health," said NBC-GP Treasurer - Philena Farley "In an open source world, we would have access to all the information about how plants and animals are used for medicinal purposes."
When animals are used in the production of vaccines, many of them suffer from illnesses and painful deaths. Unfortunately, many vaccines are still made using animals and the Green Party wants to ban cruel animal testing for vaccines in order to make vaccination safer for both animals and people. The Green Party's Animal Rights Committee is also tasked with making recommendations to the appropriate GPUS decision-making bodies to promote consistency of GPUS internal practices with regard to animal rights positions in the GPUS Platform, resolutions, and position statements.
Animal Research/Testing - Redirect funds that are disbursed annually by the National Institutes of Health away from animal experiments and towards direct health care, preventive medicine, and biomedical research using non-animal procedures such as clinical, epidemiological, and cell culture research.

Since 1947, the Nuremberg Code has been accepted world-wide as representing the highest standard of medical ethics. If followed, the Nuremberg Code is an iron-clad roadmap for how governments and societies can resist totalitarianism and the atrocity of mass murder. Although the USA is signatory of the Nuremberg Code, its principles are now being ignored and belittled at the behest of a for-profit medical system that is controlling both mainstream and social media, as well as most elected officials. Currently much of the traditional "left" has fallen victim to abandoning the principles and Constitutional protections that it once stood for. The GPNBC therefore must stand firm as a continued voice for Medical Freedom and Bodily Autonomy.
"The US government is bowing to mass fear and public pressure to ‘get back to normal' which exacerbates the momentum to run roughshod over the accord and international standard. This is happening all over the world but at the expense of individual choice and freedom that doesn't result in shaming or stigmatization of people who opt to wait or refuse vaccines. This is the foundation for opposing mandates as they fly in the face of self-determination and personal liberty and agency and control over one's own body, and familial rights to manage as a family chooses." Darryl! LC Moch, NBC-GP Cochair

Today's polarizing climate is competing for the trust and confidence of citizens more than ever before. The nature of power is changing and these changes are not measured simply by a degree of control by covid mandates and quarantines.
In today's political environment, the speed and accessibility of information created “digital reflections" that made medical facts vulnerable, eroding trust between the White House administration, National Institute of Health, US Dept of Public Health, Center for Disease Control, and the World Health Organization. The fear of losing control in our fast paced social media environment is pushing us toward exclusion. Our current leaders, whether Congress or the White House administration, and even our current Steering Committee, should instead develop an instinct for inclusion.
The coronavirus pandemic is one of our most dangerous wars in human history, because the most lethal attacks are the ones that catch us off guard. Being caught off guard has caused erroneous data reporting that is currently being exposed by Freedom of Information Act request, because we are not only unsure about the numbers, but being certain that the numbers are incorrect, is the most difficult issue many are facing today.
In a pandemic world where verifying case numbers is becoming increasingly difficult, inclusion is imperative and our Consumer Protection Plank of the Green Party of the United States must be honored. https://www.gp.org/social_justice#consumer
Lockdowns, mandates and passports are the major issue of the day with millions of people protesting against them worldwide. In fact, what has become known as the Medical Freedom movement is arguably the biggest and most diverse international movement in world history.
Vaccine mandates and vaccine passports are among the most vile, unconstitutional, immoral, unscientific, discriminatory and outright criminal policies ever enforced upon the population and goes against everything the Green Party stands for under Social Justice. These policies are coming from an out-of-control government at the behest of the pharmaceutical industry. The mainstream media and social media are also working in lock-step to censor any and all doctors, scientists, and investigative journalists who have an opposing view or who even question the current mainstream media orthodoxy.
Workers are being forced out of their jobs, many with medical exceptions from their doctors, students are being denied entrance to educational institutions, needed medical treatment is being denied, medical privacy is being violated, constitutionally protected rights to movement and assembly (including the right to travel) are being threatened, rights to normal societal participation are being decimated.
It has taken a while, but more recently many medical professionals, elected officials and federal judges have come out fully against lockdowns, vaccine mandates, vaccine passports and of course massive censorship. There is a growing clarity among many that these measures have nothing to do with health and everything to do with a power-grab at levels never before seen in the history of the world.
The National Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States adheres to the principle that Informed Consent in all personal health and medical decisions is an inalienable human right.
Under no circumstances shall any medical treatment or procedure — including psychotropic medications, vaccines and/or other injectable treatments — be mandated or coerced. Individuals should be allowed to protect/heal themselves in a manner that best supports their medical and spiritual beliefs.
The coercive methods we oppose include:
- Threats to personal health information privacy at every level
- Discrimination and/or lack of access to public education, public housing, or other public services
- Removal of minors from their guardians
- Any travel restrictions and/or restrictions from public spaces based on a requirement for "vaccine passports" or any other proof of "compliance" with any medical intervention
- Vaccine requirements that target specific populations based on ethnicity / race, even if positioned as correcting disparities
We further oppose the use of privacy-invasive technology and artificial intelligence (AI) monitoring systems (including facial recognition, fingerprint apps, tracking cell phones or any other personal electronic devices and credit score systems) as a way to monitor and track the movements and/or restrict the rights of individuals to freely exist and assemble as they choose, especially when applied to personal health care choices.
